You Should Get Out More...groups and clubs in Telford for people with learning disabilities:

The Monday Night Club meets at the Blessed Robert Johnson School in Wellington on Mondays from 7.30—9.00 p.m. This club offers various social activities, it’s all FREE and new members are always welcome. For more information ring Mr. Martin Stamp at the school on Telford 386100. The Monday Night Club is on during term time only.

Arty Party meets on Thursdays (Day and evening sessions) and Fridays (daytime session) and is a group for people who like Art, Dance, Drama and other creative activities.  For an application form, contact Kevin Hodgetts on Telford 593884.

Telford Boccia Bowls Club meets at Wombridge Church Hall every Friday night from 7.00—9.00 p.m. More details from Andy Minty on 07976 100304 or 07752 602363.

Wellington Special Swimming Club meets at Wellington Swimming Baths on Sundays between 5.15 and 6.15 p.m. It costs just £1 per person to go, and, as you know, swimming is very good for you! As far as we know, to join, you simply turn up with your swimming kit and your pound!

Not in Telford but well worth a mention is Bridgnorth Beavers. Beavers usually meets at St. Mary’s School in Bridgnorth on Saturday mornings from 11.00 a.m—1.00 p.m. Beavers is run on similar lines as Club 2000, but on a smaller scale.  Members can take part in sports such as cricket and rounders, they can play table top games or do puzzles or simply sit and chat.  Like Club 2000, they have outings from time to time during the year.
